I’m Growing. My Blog Is Too.

As I’ve been spending more and more time organizing my blog and turning it into a part of my everyday life, I’ve been thinking a lot about it’s purpose, and identity.

I originally started this blog (Pretty Little Words) as a place where I could share my own personal writing (which I still want to do) but it’s become so much more than that. So, I’ve decided that I’m going to redesign and rename my blog very soon.

The goal is to make it more focused. I want to stick to 4 main categories (which of course will leave room for pretty much everything): Life, Love, Health & Work. They’re generic topics, and there’s tons for me to explore.

I won’t be getting rid of anything that’s already here; just reorganizing it to fit my new model.

I’ve grown since I started this blog, and I want the blog to grow with me.

Making the decision to do this wasn’t easy, but I feel like it’s necessary. And choosing a direction is really difficult. I have a few things in mind about what to call it, but committing is scary. Deciding on a name will set the tone for my space on the Internet, and it’s kind of a big deal.

I’ve been playing with some potential names and taglines. No decisions have been made, but I’ll keep you posted!

Have you had any experience with recreating your blog? How did it go? Are you glad you did it? Share with me in the comments below!

  1. I think this is a good idea. Growing is a great thing!

You know I already renamed my blog once. A change may be coming again soon. I want to choose a more specific niche and get more focused. I am a bit upset I already paid to change my name once and may pay to change it again, but I think it might be worth it in the end.
